  • Mario Stifano

    Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director
    Member of Technical, Health, Safety and Environment Committee

    Mario Stifano is a seasoned mining executive and Chartered Professional Accountant with over 25 years of experience working with exploration, development and producing mining companies. He is currently the Executive Chairman of Doré Copper Mining Corp. and a director of Sranan Gold Corp. He has held a number of senior executive positions including Chief Executive Officer of Cordoba Minerals Corp., Executive Chairman with Mega Precious Metals Inc., Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with Lake Shore Gold Corp Inc., and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ivernia Inc. Mr. Stifano has been instrumental in raising over $700 million to explore and fund mining projects, including raising over $500 million at Lake Shore Gold Corp Inc., to develop three gold mines which are currently producing over 180,000 ounces of gold annually, and are now part of the Canadian assets within Pan American Silver.

  • Andreas L’Abbé

    Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. L’Abbé is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) with nearly 20 years of financial and accounting experience in the mining sector. Prio to his appointment at Galantas, he was providing consulting and advisory services to public companies primarily in the areas of financing, accounting and M&A. Previously, he served as CFO and Corporate Secretary of Discovery Silver Corp. through its growth and transformation as a successful mid-tier producer. He has held senior leading finance and strategy positions with a number of producing mining companies, including Director of Finance at Tahoe Resources Inc. and Vice President Finance at Timmins Gold Corp. Mr. L’Abbé began his career as a public accountant at Grant Thornton LLP in their Assurance and Business Advisory Services group.

    Mr. L'Abbé holds both Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University. In addition to his native English, he is also fluent in Spanish and French.

  • Robert Sedgemore

    SVP Operations

    Senior mining executive and project operator with 25+ years’ international experience developing, building, restarting, and operating mining assets. Former BHP, Placer Dome, and IFC Principal Mining Specialist, with experience delivering projects up to $1.5B and leading or supporting 15+ EPCM builds.

    Extensive Chilean experience across major operations including Escondida, Chuquicamata, Metso-Outotec and Zaldívar. As SVP Operations, Mr. Sedgemore will lead Indiana and Andacollo Oro toward production, focused on safety, execution discipline, operational readiness, cost control, value creation, and responsible environmental and social performance. Fluent in Spanish; graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines.

  • Brendan Morris

    Chief Operating Officer

    Brendan Morris is a chartered mining engineer with more than 40 years of experience in mining and quarrying, in Ireland, UK, United Arab Emirates and Canada. He has practical experience in management, in both mining and technical services roles, supplemented by a degree in Mining Engineering and a MSc in Business Practice. He is Managing Director of LTMS – Lisheen Technical and Mining Services, providing consultancy and mining services to the global industry. Mr. Morris has experience in all stages of the mining process, including exploration, mine design & approval, mine operations, closure and aftercare.

  • Dorian (Dusty) L. Nicol

    Economic Geologist

    Mining geologist with 50+ years' of global experience in exploration and mining. Led successful exploration programs across the Americas, Africa, Russia, and Papua New Guinea, including discoveries exceeding 1.5 million ounces at Jerritt Canyon, Nevada, and significant resource growth in Kyrgyzstan. Managed development and operation of open-pit and underground mines and conducted due diligence for investment funds and acquisitions.
